It was a May morning on Lake Winnipesaukee and the spray was soaking my hair and face. It was my first time on a sunfish and I was taken totally by surprise how fast that little thing could go! It was probably around 10 mph, but with the wind whipping up the waves and us leaning hard against the sail, it felt more like 50. “Sailor” captures the only thing I felt in that moment - the bow crashing against the water and the weight of our bodies trying to control the sail. Pure adrenalin!
