Alcatraz Island Night Tour Sweatshirt
I felt like I was going back in time the day I took a ferry to Alcatraz Island. We left gorgeous, sunny San Francisco and sailed into a cold fog bank. We came out the other side to a lone jagged rock in the middle of the bay with a stone fortress sitting on top. It looked like it had been virtually unchanged since 1963, the year the prison closed. There was something almost beautiful about this cold, forbidding place. I imagined it in the night: the moon highlighting the sharp rocks, the notorious tower, and just a few waves of the dark San Francisco bay.
