Beachside Hammock – Carla Miller Art
Once when I was at a resort, off-season, half-empty, I spotted a hammock hanging between two palms, lonely and abandoned, like no one had ever noticed it was there. I dropped in, immediately cradled in its strength. I really wanted to see if I could capture that feeling in a piece of art, that the only thing that existed were me, the hammock, and the sea. Because that's exactly what it felt like.
